SAGINAW, MI — After filing a federal lawsuit against three of its former leaders, the Saginaw County Republican Party is once again in control of its online presence. The lawsuit filed Dec. 19 on the SCRP’s behalf named former Vice-Chair Thomas Roy, former Treasurer Janet Stoney, and former Executive Committee Member Scott Gilmore as defendants, alleging they had misappropriated the organization’s websites and social media accounts. In the suit, attorney Christopher G. Darrow asked the court to order the trio to transfer administrator rights to the SCRP and stop accessing the accounts themselves.

According to a press release, Genesee County Clerk Domonique Clemons’ office received the signatures against the former Flint City Council Vice President on Jan. 31.
