    Police: Men tried to steal bag from victim in bathroom of Bethesda restaurant

    BETHESDA, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Police released video of two suspects who were accused of trying to rob someone in a restaurant bathroom in September last year.

    The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said that on Sept. 3, 2023, around 10:15 p.m., officers were called to a restaurant in the 900 block of Rose Avenue for an attempted robbery.

    Police said that the two suspects had walked up to the victim in the bathroom. One of the suspects blocked off the door while the other one assaulted the victim and grabbed his bag. The victim started to scream, and people in the restaurant heard and were able to force their way into the bathroom.

    MCPD said that the suspects threw the victim’s bag back and ran away.
