SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A driver was killed in a crash in Stoneycreek Township on Wednesday.

On May 8, a crash occurred on South Route 31 Glades Pike at the intersection of South Route 1005 Brotherton Road. A Buick Encore, driven by William Riley, 90, of Berlin, was driving south on Brotherton Road and proceeded through a stop sign and attempted to make a left turn onto Glades Pike.

A Peterbilt truck then hit the Buick, causing the car to hit an embankment and overturn. The Buick came to a final stop on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Riley was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. It was noted in the PSP report that both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
