Forgot about Mother’s Day? These Whatcom restaurants are hosting special brunches, meals

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12, and if you’re looking for a special brunch or meal spot to celebrate your loved ones, these Whatcom County restaurants will be open and serving delicious meals.

Carnal

Carnal is expanding its hours for Mother’s Day and will be serving their full menu including steak, mimosas, wood fired half chickens, hand cut fries, poached eggs and smoked bacon and more from 1-7 p.m on Sunday, May 12. Reservations are highly encouraged and can be made online .

Carnal is at 1234 N State St. in Bellingham.

Bellewood Farms

Bellewood Farms will host a Mother’s Day brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 12. Reservations can be made by calling 360-318-7720. The farm also invites visitors to stroll through the blossoming cherry trees.

Bellewood Farms is at 6140 Guide Meridian Road in Lynden.

Penny Farthing Restaurant

Penny Farthing , Chuckanut Bay Distillery’s restaurant, will host a Mother’s Day brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 12. The brunch buffet includes a free mimosa for mothers and costs $50 per person, $20 for children 6-10 years old, and is free for children 5 and under. The buffet menu includes shrimp cocktail, scrambled eggs, angus New York striploin, hashbrowns, veggies, pastries and desserts. Reservations are required and can be made online.

Skylark’s Cafe

Skylark’s Cafe will host a Mother’s Day brunch and dinner from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, May 12. The special brunch menu, which includes lemon poppyseed pancakes, smoked salmon benedict and a grilled peach and burrata salad, will be served until 3 p.m. The dinner specials will be served from 3-9 p.m. and include a prawn BLT in a pita pocket and pan seared sockeye salmon. Reservations are encouraged and can be made online or by calling 360-715-3642.

Skylark’s Cafe is at 1308 11th St. in Bellingham.

Lighthouse Grill

The Lighthouse Grill in the Hotel Bellwether will be open from 8 am. to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 12 to serve a special Mother’s Day brunch buffet. The buffet will include an omelette and benedict bar, Belgium waffles, seafood, prime rib, fried chicken, ham, cheeses and a dessert bar. The buffet costs $75 per person, $55 for children 10 and under and is free for children 4 and under. Reservations are required and can be made online .
