BEAVER, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Members of the Friends of Charity Auto Fair team were joined on Friday at Raleigh County Memorial Airport by media and community members for the announcement of the 19th Annual Fiends of Charity Auto Fair.

Scheduled for July 12th and 13th at Raleigh County Memorial Airport, the annual event will feature hundreds of hot rods, customs, classics, muscle cars, motorcycles, tuners, and trucks from all decades, along with vendors, local business representatives, and much more.

The event takes place each year with the goal of helping to raise funds for local charitable organizations, boost the economy, and shed light on what these organizations do to make the area a better place to live, work, and play.

“As usual, you will see the hot rods and the cool cars come rolling in about 9:00 AM,” says Friends of Charity Auto Fair PR Director, Jeri Knowlton. “You can expect carnival rides, Batman and the Batmobile, a petting zoo; you can expect fireworks and you can expect Phil Dirt and the Dozers…We know this will be a big treat for all of us, and best of all, the concert ticket is included with the price of admission.”

Also included as part of this year’s event will be the Backroads of Appalachia Scavenger Hunt, which will highlight a number of areas throughout the Southern West Virginia region.

“Basically, what this really is, is a tour of Southern West Virginia,” says Jeremiah Johnson of Backroads of Appalachia. “We picked 12 destinations throughout Fayette, Summers, and Raleigh County. The roads are exciting, they’re twisting and curvy and. Basically, what I’ve always dreamed of from having a background of off-roading is doing some type of scavenger hunt our state and the region.”
