    Wild Day at the Rowe: See when, where

    BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Wild Day at the Rowe will be making its return to Baton Rouge this spring. This year’s event will be taking place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at Perkins Rowe.

    Wild Day at the Rowe features several activities including live music, face painting, games, ambassador animals from the Baton Rouge Zoo and children’s activities, according to a release.

    A zoo representative will be in attendance at this year’s event showcasing different animals. A release states that “depending on weather, these animals could include, but are not limited to,” tenrec, speckled king snake, screech owl, bearded dragon, legless lizard, box turtle, American alligators, ball pythons and a leopard gecko.

    The live presentations will be taking place at the following times:

    • 10-10:15 a.m.
    • 10:45-11 a.m.
    • 11:30-11:45 a.m.
    • 12:15-12:45 p.m.

    Attendees will also get a chance to learn more about the ambassador animals and take photos with them in the Great Hall, according to a release.

    Wild Day at the Rowe is free and open to the public.
