It was pandemonium in Birdland on Wednesday afternoon. Baltimore Orioles superstar Adley Rutschman crushed a walk-off home run to lift the O’s to victory.

The dramatic home run brought a lively crowd at Oriole Park at Camden Yards to its feet!

MLB’s X account was one of many to boast about the walk-off blast.

That home run was more significant than you might think. It helped to extend a longstanding streak the Orioles have built up for sometime now, and it’s as absurd as you might think.

Rutschman’s walk-off home run staved the Orioles off from getting swept. The Toronto Blue Jays were merely a clean stanza away from getting it done, but the Orioles refused to be denied. Just like they have been for eons, it seems.

Sarah Langs emerged on Wednesday to remind everyone just how impressive the Orioles have been.

The Orioles have an active, 105-series streak of 2+ games without being swept. Seriously! That’s the third-longest streak in MLB history, trailing only the 1903-05 Giants and the 1942-44 Cardinals.

If you want to take out Baltimore, you’ve really gotta bring your best. They are a relentless bunch, and refuse to be denied even now.
