Liberal Ties Garden City at Redskin Field
The Liberal girls soccer team played to a 1-1 tie with the Garden City Buffaloes Tuesday night at the Gary Cornelsen Sports Complex. Garden scored on a first half penalty kick and led 1-0 at the half. Liberal tied it on a Hailey Contreras header into the goal after a free kick bounced off the GC goalies. Garden City is 9-3-2 overall and 4-1-2 in the WAC. Liberal is 7-6-2 and 2-4-1 in the WAC. Liberal hosts Dodge City Thursday night at 6:30 at Redskin Field.

Liberal Sends Both Doubles Teams to State
The Liberal tennis team qualifies both of their tennis teams to state for a second straight season. The Redskins competed at a 6A regional tennis tournament at Riverside Tennis Complex in Wichita. The event was hosted by Wichita East. The teams of Parker Brown and Daniel Nguyen and Emmanuel Garcia with Jovanni Garcia both make state.

Day one of the Region VI Tournament was a tale of two games for Seward County as they dominated game one 13-0 against the Trojans before collapsing 16-0 in a loss to Butler.
