DPS: 1 dead after semi truck hit by train at railroad crossing
A driver was killed when his vehicle went into the path of an oncoming train at a crossing Tuesday afternoon in Dallam County. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), at about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, a 2012 Freightliner truck tractor towing a semi-trailer (tanker) was traveling south on FM 807 in Conlen, while a Union Pacific Train was traveling northeast.

Texas Man Leads Gray County Sheriff on Chase
On Thursday, March 14th at around 8:26 PM, members of the Gray County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of S Rd and 21 Rd in rural Gray County, Kansas, for a pursuit from Ford County. Ford County Sheriff’s Office initiated the pursuit in Ford County. The pursuit continued westbound onto K23 Hwy and S Rd. The suspect vehicle led Deputies northbound on K23 Hwy from S Rd toward Cimarron, KS. Eventually stop sticks were deployed by Gray County Sheriff’s Office Deputies at the north end of the Arkansas River bridge. The stop sticks were successful, deflating tires on the suspect’s vehicle. The pursuit came to an end shortly after at the intersection of Main St and Ave A in Cimarron, KS. A felony car stop was conducted and driver was safely taken into custody. The adult male driver, Jesse Cole of Amarillo, Texas, was transported to the Ford County Sheriff’s Office and lodged on various charges stemming from the pursuit. No injuries were reported to anybody involved during this incident. Good teamwork and communication between both agencies proved to be a successful factor in taking down the suspect and ending the pursuit. The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Starting Pitching Shines for Saints in Split at Dodge
After splitting the first two games of the series less than forty-eight hours ago, the Saints and Conquistadors took the field in Dodge City for the final two games where the two teams once again split on the day as Dodge City grabbed a small 2-1 win in game one of the day while Seward County was able to even the series back up with a 7-4 win to wrap things up against DC3.
