Avon police investigating armed robbery at a business, 1 juvenile in custody

AVON, Ind. — A juvenile is in custody as Avon police are investigating a reported armed robbery at a business near Ronald Reagan and U.S. Highway 36 Wednesday afternoon.

The Avon Police Department said officers were dispatched around 4:28 p.m. to 10532 U.S. 36 in response to reports that an armed robbery was taking place at a business in the area. The run was initially listed as a person armed with a weapon that was later upgraded to a robbery of a business in progress.

APD has not confirmed which specific business was the subject of the armed robbery.
