‘Teen Mom’ Star Farrah Abraham (Badly) Loses Her Bid for Austin City Council; Sets Sights on 2028 Mayoral Run
Farrah Abraham’s bid for Austin City Council has come to an end, though the former ‘Teen Mom’ star warns claims she’s not done pursuing a career in politics just yet. KUT News reported on Wednesday that Farrah finished fourth in the four-way race for Austin City Council District 5, earning just over 10 percent of votes (about 3,565). Candidate Liz Brink finished ahead of Farrah with 16 percent (5,674 votes), while David Weinberg had 26.18 percent (9,283)– enough to put him in the December 12 runoff against incumbent Ryan Alter, a Harvard-educated attorney who received 47.77 percent of votes (16,941).
