Audubon School Board Approves 2024-2025 Budget

(Audubon) The Audubon School District tax levy is lower for the 2024-2025 Fiscal year Budget. Following the district’s second public hearing on Monday night, the Audubon School Board approved a rate of $11.35 per one thousand dollars of valuation.

Audubon Schools Superintendent Eric Trager says the supplemental aid increase and $72,000 in new money. Trager says the district put extra money into the management fund to account for the projected 15-to-20 percent increase in property and liability insurance rates.

The School Board also held a public hearing on the school calendar. The start date for the next school year is August 23.

There will be some changes in Professional Development days. Starting in October, the district will conduct full PD days on the first Wednesday of every month. The last day of school will be the Friday before Memorial Day, pending snow days.
