Westside vs. Millard South Preview
Westside versus Millard South, two teams that have been at the top of Nebraska high school football for nearly a decade and a rivalry that will reach a new crescendo come October 23rd as the two teams face off in the finale of the regular season. Westside comes in as the favorite as the top seeded team in the state but have been on the losing end of this rivalry recently dropping the last two matchups to the Patriots in the 2024 state championship game and in last years state semi-finals where they were crushed by Jett Thomalla and an all star cast of division one commits. Millard South comes in with an opportunity to silence any doubt they may have racked up over the season winning only by a combined three points to Millard North and Omaha North at home. Millard South is also rolling in on a 33 game win streak which broke Westside’s record in their last victory over Lincoln East.
