    From the Ga News Network…

An Athens man has been indicted for murder after a family argument turned deadly.

The indictment filed in Clarke County Superior Court lists 26 year old Cedric Robbie Jones as the defendant indicted for murder after he is accused of shooting 48-year-old Willie Antonio Jewell.

The indictment includes charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during a felony. Officers responded to a domestic dispute call February 12 and found Jewell dead from a gunshot wound to the head. Jones was arrested at the scene without incident, and the investigation revealed that the shooting occurred during an argument between Jones and his mother, with Jewell attempting to intervene.

Jones remains in the Clarke County Jail.
