LOUISBURG, Kan. (KCTV) - Two individuals, one of them a juvenile, have been pronounced deceased as the result of a late-morning fire in rural Eastern Kansas. The Louisburg Fire Department says that just after 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, emergency crews were called to the 600 block of N. Fifth St. with reports of a house fire.

Adult, juvenile killed in Louisburg house fire
LOUISBURG – A Louisburg house fire claimed the lives of an adult and juvenile on the morning of Thursday, May 16. Louisburg Fire Chief Gerald Rittinghouse said a neighbor reported the fire in the 600 block of North Fifth Street at 11:01 a.m., and a fire official was on scene shortly thereafter at 11:04 a.m., followed by the first fire truck at 11:07 a.m.

(KCTV) - Flourish Furniture Bank is a one-of-a-kind nonprofit in Grandview. “Flourish is the only furniture bank in the Kansas City metropolitan area and also in the state of Kansas,” said Amy Cox, its Executive Director. “A furniture bank basically collects furniture from the community, as well as home essentials, so anything from linens and towels to dishes and small appliances.
