Weekly Safety Report: Fatal Crash and Threatening Graffiti in Jackson County, Missouri
Two incidents occurred in Jackson County, Missouri this week. In the first incident, an Independence man died and four others were seriously injured in a crash on Sunday morning at the junction of Missouri 7 Highway and Missouri 150 Highway. The crash involved a 2019 GMC Savana 3500, a 2012 Nissan Juke, and a 2013 Subaru Outback. In the second incident, threatening graffiti was discovered in three women's restrooms at Blue Springs South High School. Extra police presence was implemented as a precautionary measure, although the threats were deemed not credible.
