Spotty Storms Tonight with Gusty Winds and Falling Temps Friday
CINCINNATI (WXIX) -Friday will bring some of the biggest changes of the season so far. Spotty showers are possible through midday and late afternoon, but the bigger concern will be strong northwest winds. Gusts of 30 to 40 mph or higher could send unsecured outdoor items flying, especially Halloween decorations and inflatables. Temperatures will start in the 70s before tumbling into the 50s by the afternoon. If you have outdoor decorations, Thursday evening is a good time to secure or deflate them.

Cincinnati breaks 98-year-old heat record as storms and frost threaten
Cincinnati reached 89 degrees on Oct. 13, breaking the previous daily high-temperature record of 88 degrees set in 1928. The record-setting warmth is expected to give way to thunderstorms, potential heavy rainfall and a significant cooldown across Greater Cincinnati. Overnight temperatures could fall into the 30s over the weekend, creating a possible frost threat. Residents should monitor National Weather Service updates for changing storm conditions and frost advisories.
