Santa Ana, California (LAI) - The California Department of Justice (DOJ), in collaboration with U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the West Covina Police Department through the California DOJ-led INCA Task Force, with assistance from the California Highway Patrol (CHP), announced the arrest of a suspected drug trafficker and the seizure of nearly 135 pounds of illegal narcotics in Santa Ana. The suspect, apprehended in Santa Ana after crossing the U.S.-Mexico border in a vehicle, is believed to be associated with the Sinaloa drug cartel. Agents discovered 89 bundles of methamphetamine, totaling 135 pounds, concealed in a hidden compartment within the vehicle. This arrest and seizure, which took place on September 12 in Santa Ana, are part of an ongoing investigation.
