The Los Angeles County Fire Department and Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies from the Temple City Station responded to a three-month-old baby not breathing around 11:10 p.m. at a home in the 2500 block of Angelus Avenue in the city of Rosemead.

LASD deputies were the first on the scene and immediately rendered CPR on the baby. Deputies rushed the baby to one of their patrol units and responded with lights and sirens to a local trauma center.

It is unknown at this time what caused the baby to stop breathing. The LASD was treating the residence as a crime scene.
