$100,000 Powerball ticket sold in NE Ohio has been claimed

AMHERST, Ohio (WJW) – The winner of a $100,000 Powerball prize has come forward to claim her prize.

According to Ohio Lottery, the woman purchased the winning ticket from the Discount Drug Mart on Leavitt Road in Amherst.

‘Best mistake’ lands woman $1 million Powerball prize

Lottery officials say she chose her own numbers, matching four of the five during the drawing on April 10. The winner also bought the Power Play, doubling her winnings to $100,000.

Ohio Lottery says another winning ticket, worth $50,000 and sold in southern Ohio, has also been claimed. That ticket was sold at the Sinking Spring 1st Stop in Sinking Spring, Highland County.

Recently, a Parma man won $50,000 from the Powerball drawing on April 2.

As of Thursday evening, the Powerball jackpot sits at $98 million. The next drawing will be Saturday, April 20 at 11 p.m. Learn more about the lottery game right here.
