Police received a call at 10:38 a.m. Nov. 20 that an electrical line was hanging low over River Road. A resident touched it with an aluminum rake so the school bus could go under it. The wire dropped low about 24 hours ago across the road. The man said he called CEI who had not yet shown up. The wire was not sparking. The house still had electricity coming into it. Police advised CEI about the situation who said it would be there in about 90 minutes. Water Street was closed and the school bus transportation department contacted about the situation. CEI arrived at the scene at 11:56 a.m. The roadway was cleared and opened at 12:26 p.m.
