Fremont City Administrator retiring, Green to step in

FREMONT, Neb. – The City of Fremont announces the retirement of City Administrator Jody Sanders, effective December 31, 2026, after nearly 19 years of service to the community. The City Council will consider the appointment of Assistant City Administrator Phil Green as City Administrator at its December 29 meeting. If approved, Green will assume the role on January 1, 2027.

Among the latest community stories being reported, the Nebraska State Patrol rolling out a new notification system. It’s aimed at protecting children from online exploitation. The initiative among the latest public safety developments being reported in the state of Nebraska. State Patrols launched a new system as part of efforts focused on protecting Nebraska children online. The development comes as law enforcement agencies continue addressing crimes involving children and the internet. Additional specifics about how the new notification system will operate, but we’ll do our best to keep you up to date on that topic. More federal transportation money is headed to Nebraska. U.S. Department of Transportation investing millions of dollars in transportation projects across the state. The announcement adds to ongoing efforts to improve transportation infrastructure.
