A trend of below average temps, t-showers this weekend

Good morning, folks!

Starting the morning with temps in the 50s to mid-40s across the High Plains. Clear skies and calm winds to start the day. There is some light rain showers across Cimarron and Union County this morning. Not much accumulation expected from this. Severe weather will be possible once again today for north and east Texas today. For us in the Texas Panhandle, the dry conditions continue with temps rising into the 70s and 80s. Starting Saturday our chance of rain will begin to increase. Currently forecasting showers and embedded storms from Saturday through Monday. If the tracking of our system can hold, we could see moisture potential from 0.50″ to 1.25″. We are in the Spring season so be sure to stay weather aware and tuned to the latest!
