    City of Amarillo pools set to open for 2024 summer season, introduce annual passes

    AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The City of Amarillo announced that its 2024 Summer Season for its city pools will run from May 28 through Aug. 4, and that it will introduce a new season pass system as an available ticket option for community members.

    Officials with the Amarillo Parks and Recreation Department detailed that there will be four “summer pool pass” options for community members during the 2024 season, including:

    • Thompson Park Pool
    • $150 for a single pass
    • $350 for a four-person family pass
    • Southeast Pool and Southwest Pool
    • $100 for a single pass
    • $300 for a four-person family pass

    Officials noted that pool passes will be available for purchase during regular business hours at the following locations:

    • Warford Activity Center
    • 1330 NW 18th Ave.
    • Parks and Recreation Office
    • 509 S Johnson St.
    • Any of the three outdoor city pools
    • 11 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. beginning May 28

    Southeast Pool – 3435 S. Osage St.

    Southwest Pool – 4850 S. Bell St.

    • Open swim hours Tuesday – Sunday, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
    • Lap swim hours Tuesday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
    • Closed on Mondays
    • Swim session tickets are $5 per person
