ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Blair County Prison inmate has recently been arraigned on more charges after he allegedly stole a truck during his escape to Philadelphia.

On Dec. 3, 2023, Isaiah Robert Tilghman, 33, was reportedly missing from the count at 12:15 p.m. and allegedly escaped through an air duct.

Logan Township Police said they were called about a license plate being stolen in the early morning hours from a vehicle at Altoona Soft Water and then received another call that a red Ford F-150 was stolen nearby from an auto body shop.

Security footage allegedly showed Tilghman taking the plate off a vehicle, dumping something in a dumpster, and then stealing the Ford, according to charges filed. The truck was found in Philadelphia where U.S. Marshals eventually located Tilghman himself.

Police noted that two employees dug through the dumpster and found that Tilghman allegedly dumped a white bag with a Blair County Prison outfit and prison shoes inside of it.
