ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Altoona Police Department needs your help with any information on a 2023 home invasion that led to the violent assault of a 70-year-old woman.

The home invasion happened on the 800 block of 18th Avenue, near UPMC Altoona, around 11 p.m. May 27, 2023. It was reported that multiple suspects entered the home of a 70-year-old woman and restrained her.

From there, police said the woman was “violently assaulted” by being punched in her head and face and striking her with what was determined to be a CO2-powered handgun. After assaulting her, the suspects stole several items including TVs and an Xbox.
