Local rescue squad finds missing woman within 20 minutes with K9
BENTON, Ky. — A Benton-based volunteer rescue organization reported Wednesday that its K9 located a missing woman within 20 minutes. A Facebook post by Marshall County Rescue Squad said that Stephany Floyd, 36, had reportedly left her home around 6 a.m. Wednesday. The rescue team deployed K9 Nyx and its handler, Amy Mcleod Barrett, and quickly found Floyd alive. She had been lying in an area since the early morning hours and required medical attention.
2 men, 1 teen accused of breaking into concession stand
MAYFIELD, Ky. (KBSI) – Two Mayfield men and a teenager face burglary charges after police say they broke in to a baseball field concession stand. Mayfield Police Department officers responded to the baseball fields on North 17th Street on May 14 on a report of three people breaking into the concession stand.
Driver facing DUI, other charges following dump truck crash
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - A man is facing charges after allegedly driving drunk and leaving the scene of a crash. According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the area of 420 Wadesboro Road for a single-vehicle rollover crash with injuries just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15.
Man arrested in Mayfield in connection to a trailer theft
MAYFIELD, Ky. (KFVS) - A man was arrested in Mayfield in connection to a stolen trailer. On Saturday, May 11, an officer with the Mayfield Police Department responded to the 800 block of South 10th Street to investigate the theft of a 16-foot trailer. According to the MPD, during the investigation, security footage was obtained showing an older model dark-colored Dodge truck.
