Bodycam footage obtained by TLS shows Lakewood police officers and neighbors rescuing a victim from a structure fire earlier this month. On May 4th, at approximately 1:20 AM, Lakewood Police Department, Lakewood Twp EMS, and Lakewood Fire Department were dispatched for a structure fire on Joe Parker Rd. Upon arrival, officers found a residential home engulfed in flames.
Driver Hospitalized After Crashing Into Holmdel Chipotle, Restaurant Closed Temporarily
A driver was hospitalized after crashing into a Chipotle in Monmouth County, forcing the restaurant to close temporarily, authorities said. Holmdel police responded to the crash at the Chipotle on Route 35 at around 4:05 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, the department said in a Facebook post. The car hopped over the parking lot's curb, broke through the wall, and the front end went into the restaurant's interior.
Chef David Burke dinner cruise coming in June to Atlantic Highlands
Summer is the season for boating at the Shore, and Chef David Burke is bringing fine dining to the high seas with "The GOAT Boat" Supper Club. Hosted by Teal Cruises and setting sail from Atlantic Highlands Marina on Sunday, June 9, the three-course dinner cruise will be served aboard the 85-foot Festiva. Named for Burke's Union Beach restaurant, the cruise will feature a menu of maple and black pepper-glazed bacon, watermelon and asparagus salad with burrata, braised short ribs with popovers, and grilled fish with pasta and green beans.
Matthew Kukoda is Manasquan High School’s next principal, replacing soon-to-be superintendent
MANASQUAN — The Manasquan Public School District Board of Education announced during its May 14 meeting that current Holmdel High School Principal Matthew Kukoda will join Manasquan High School (MHS) as its new principal next year. Kukoda will be replacing Robert Goodall, who the board previously announced will replace current Superintendent Frank Kasyan upon his retirement at the end of June.
Brick School District Receives $3.3M Grant
BRICK – The Brick Township School District has received $3.3 million in state grants to fund new HVAC units at three of its schools. The funds are provided through the New Jersey Schools Development Authority’s Regular Operating District (ROD) grant program and will help pay for HVAC system upgrades at the Herbertsville Early Childhood Development Center, Midstreams Elementary School, and Osbornville Elementary School.
