Old Bridge Police Shoot Man Who was Stabbing a Woman at a Motel
OLD BRIDGE, NJ - In response to a call at a motel Sunday morning, the Old Bridge Police Department shot and struck a man who was in the act of stabbing a woman. Today, March 3, 2024, at approximately 2:57 A.M., the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit received a report of an officer-involved shooting on Spring Valley Road in Old Bridge, says the office of the Middlesex County Prosecutor. The initial investigation has revealed that members of the Old Bridge Police Department were called to respond to the Hampton Inn, 300 Spring Valley Road, Old Bridge, on a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, the police officers discovered a male suspect stabbing a female victim. In response, officers shot at and struck the individual, according to a press release. The man is currently at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital being treated for his injuries. Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone announced today that the shooting is under investigation.
