HARRISON TWP. (WWJ) — A Northern Michigan man is facing multiple felony charges after being arrested at a Macomb County mobile home park for an alleged domestic assault.

Danzelle Williams of Alden — northeast of Traverse City — was arraigned Wednesday, a day after his arrest in Harrison Township.

Macomb County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Willow Point mobile home park around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday after getting reports of a domestic violence incident. The victim told authorities that Williams was inside the trailer with a loaded shotgun.

The victim was “visibly shaken with multiple abrasions on her face and chest” when deputies arrived. She also complained of a spinal injury, according to the sheriff’s office.

Williams and the woman had gotten into an argument the day prior and the suspect became physical with her, the sheriff’s office said. While the two “separated for a brief time,” the altercation continued later that night, with the suspect not allowing the victim to leave her vehicle.

The victim told police that Williams “smashed her head” into the windows of the vehicle, breaking them.

The couple then went into the mobile home and the victim told police she believed the suspect had brought a loaded shotgun into the bed before falling asleep.

Once Williams had fallen asleep, the victim fled to the neighbors to call 911, according to the sheriff’s office.

The MCSO SWAT team was training in the area when they were called to assist at the mobile home park. Authorities were able to call Williams outside and he was taken into custody without incident.

Williams has been charged with his second offense of aggravated domestic violence, one count of unlawful imprisonment, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and felony firearm.

His bond was set at $5,000, 10% cash/surety. He remained held at the Macomb County Jail on Thursday. Officials did not release any information about his next court date.
