ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Prosecutors believe he’s responsible for at least five murders across New Mexico and New Jersey, Now, Sean Lannon, the man accused of leaving four of his victim’s bodies in a truck at the Sunport, took a plea deal admitting to another one of the killings.

For the second time in his life, Lannon pled guilty to murder. This time, for the beating death of Randall Apostalon. His body was found in 2021 inside Apastalon’s own truck parked at the Sunport and that wasn’t all that police found that day. “They found the dismembered bodies of Mr. Lannon’s former wife, her boyfriend I believe, and her boyfriend’s friend,” said Prosecutor Jolanna Macias.

Lannon told police he killed the three people in Grants dismembered them and put the parts in storage bins before bringing them to Albuquerque. Prosecutors say before Lannon killed Apostalon, he hired him to move and store the bins with no clue there were bodies inside. Lannon admitted that he beat Apostalon to death in a southeast Albuquerque apartment parking lot and left his body, along with the three dismembered corpses, inside the truck at the Sunport.

The victim’s brothers shared their outrage before the court. “Murderer, may you live your life miserably, feel the pain which you deserve to feel daily about taking the lives of innocent people. I can only wish it be hell on earth for your actions you committed,” said Mark Apostalon.

“I don’t know what evil poisoned your heart and mind that caused you to murder my brother, Randall Apostalon. What deranged state of mind consumed you to murder your ex-wife, Jennifer Lannon, or Justin Mata or Matthew Miller or Michael Dabkowski,” said Daniel Apostalon.

Michael Dabkowski is Lannon’s fifth victim who was murdered with a hammer in New Jersey after the bodies were found in New Mexico. Lannon was caught in St. Louis days later in that man’s car. He pled guilty to his murder in 2022 and was sentenced to 35 years. Judge Brett Loveless sentenced Lannon to 15 years for Aspotalon’s murder.

Lannon is awaiting a murder trial in Cibola County of three other murders including that of his ex-wife and two other men. That trial is scheduled for February. Once Lannon is sentenced, he will serve his time in New Mexico before returning to New Jersey to finish his sentence.
