Saturday Night's fevered update of SEC standings and NCAA status
There's one day remaining this regular season, and there's still a SEC Championship in play. A Division title too, for that matter. , the contenders for this 2024 SEC crown, played later in the day to allow tension to build. Nope. In fact their games open the afternoon, or noon ET in case of Vanderbilt at Kentucky. An hour later South Carolina and Tennessee get going.

Tennessee baseball will be the No. 1 seed in the 2024 SEC Baseball Tournament for the second time in program history next week in Hoover, Ala. The Vols will open at the Hoover Met on Wednesday afternoon in the third game of the day against the winner of Tuesday's game between the No. 8-seed and No. 9-seed. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network. The Volunteers secured a bye in the field as the No. 1 seed and will begin the tournament in the double-elimination portion.
