XRoads41 single-day tickets on sale to see Sam Hunt, Tim McGraw in Oshkosh
OSHKOSH – Fans who want to catch just one night of XRoads41 can now buy single-day tickets for the 2027 festival, organizers announced Friday. The three-day country music festival returns Aug. 12-14, 2027, in Oshkosh. Single-day and three-day tickets, along with camping, are on sale at XRoads41.com . Former plumber to open hot dog restaurant on Packard Avenue in Cudahy
A West Allis man is trading in the sometimes-dirty plumbing trade to instead open Dirty Dogs , a hot dog-focused restaurant in Cudahy. Jim Turner said his goal was to find a less physical line of work after suffering a heart attack that nearly killed him in early 2026. He also wanted to do something he enjoyed more – cooking – and have a more set schedule. Dirty Dogs will offer various versions of hot dogs including the Chicago-style hot dog, and one topped with mac and cheese, pulled pork and coleslaw. Being in Cudahy, bacon was a given with Turner planning to offer a BLT hot dog. The restaurant will also serve Italian beef, chicken, smash burgers and a Friday fish fry with hand-breaded beer battered fish. Sides could include coleslaw, cheese curds, and possibly mac and cheese bites with other options still in discussion. Dirty Dogs is working to get a liquor license with plans to offer a small selection of beers, too. Turner is planning a soft opening with family and friends – many of whom also make up the staff – to test and finalize the menu with a goal of opening to the public Dec.

We enjoyed lots of great food and drink, including the newest fine dining restaurant in Milwaukee, High Stakes by Paul Bartolotta, and Mader’s, the “Most Famous Restaurant in Wisconsin.” We toured a historic lighthouse, visited famous breweries, made a trip to City Hall, and so much more.
