Port Washington High School shooting threat, custodian charged
PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. - A Port Washington High School custodian was arrested and has been charged with a felony after he allegedly threatened to shoot up the school. According to the criminal complaint, on Tuesday, April 16, a Port Washington police officer was alerted that a staff member who was currently working at Port Washington High School had made statements that he would shoot everybody at the school if he had a firearm.
City of Sheboygan plans to purchase downtown Wells Fargo bank
SHEBOYGAN — This week, the Common Council authorized the purchase of the downtown Wells Fargo bank that closed last October. The city could buy the property at 636 Wisconsin Ave. for $1.7 million, budgeted for in the new TID 21 project plan. The Common Council gave its approval for acquiring the former bank April 16, even though the property's future purpose remains up in the air.

Mindful Morning Hike held by group at Sheboygan Marsh
As previously reported in the Sheboygan Sun, Mental Health America (MHA) Lakeshore is hosting free outdoor experiences throughout the year at local parks and recreation destinations. On Saturday, April 6 the group went for a Mindful Morning Hike at Broughton Sheboygan Marsh near Elkhart Lake. Mental Health and the Great Outdoors is a series of themed outdoor activities affording participants the wellness benefits of being in the great outdoors while connecting with each other. This new program is funded by MHA National in partnership with L.L.Bean, a globally recognized outdoor brand. “Nature can help nurture relationships and naturally brings people closer,” said Julie Preder, executive director of MHA Lakeshore.
