CPS students deserve every ounce of funding district can muster | Opinion
As a parent of a Cincinnati Public Schools student, I am enraged at the chaotic nature of the district and concerned about the ongoing budget cuts and school consolidations. My kids deserve a public school that prioritizes student services over lining the pockets of out-of-state tech companies, private contractors and administrative bloat. We must make cuts to balance our budget, but why are those cuts damaging the outcomes for our students? I’m saddened to realize that we don’t have to wait for right-wing radicals in the Statehouse to defund public schools, it’s already happening here in CPS.
