Summary: A warm start to the workday with some even seeing temperatures as warm as 74°. A humid, mostly sunny start with southerly winds pumping in moisture to the region. Today areas out west and north will hold the best chance for severe storms. Tomorrow we see most if not all the region with at least a slight chance for storms. We cloud see an increase in the potential for storms tomorrow. Storms will push ahead of an approaching front from the west and a warm front towards the south which could become elevated with some large hail cores/supercell storms possible. As of now all hazards will be possible with the storms Thursday. The only good thing will be that the temperatures will be in the 70’s to 80’s to complete the week with a warm up into the triple digits by next week. There is a chance we reach that triple digit mark before the average first 100 degree day in Abilene, which is June 16th..

Today: Starting off mostly sunny with cloud cover increasing throughout the day with a chance of showers and thunderstorms by this afternoon through late evening. High Temperature: 91° Winds: SSW 15-25 G 35 MPH

Tonight: Partly cloudy with showers momentarily coming to a close. Low Temperature: 65° Winds: SSE 15-20 G 30 MPH
