Body found in Genesee River near Turning Point Park; investigation underway
A body was found in the Genesee River near Turning Point Park in Rochester Thursday evening, according to Rochester police. Lt. Jeremy Robinson of the Rochester Police Department said that emergency responders were called to the park at 6:50 p.m., after a body was spotted in the water. Rochester police officers and firefighters confirmed that the person was dead and removed the body, who was taken to the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office to be evaluated.
