April 23, 1964 — Tornado damages farm building and machinery. Damage to buildings and machinery occurred Monday night about 7 p.m. at the Emil Vahlkamp farm south of Wayne when a small twister touched down on his farm. The machine sheds were twisted off their foundations and the machinery inside damaged, while the house, just a ways from them, was untouched. Heavy rain and hail hit Wayne at about the same time as the twister hit Vahlkamps.
