LAKE COUNTY, Ill. - A Mundelein man was arrested after allegedly threatening his neighbors with a knife on Tuesday. Around 9:55 a.m., Lake County deputies responded to the 26200 block of North Route 83 in unincorporated Mundelein for a report of a man with a knife threatening his neighbors. The man, later identified as 40-year-old Luis Maganda-Chino, allegedly went to a neighbor's house and began shouting and stabbing the person's door with a knife.

LAKE COUNTY, Ill. - A 30-year-old man was found guilty of his role in a high-speed crash in Round Lake that killed two people and injured another. Jose Aguirre was found guilty of all nine counts of aggravated DUI related to a 2020 fatal rollover crash late Thursday afternoon, according to the Lake County State's Attorney.
Man Dies After Being Dragged Underneath a Car; Driver in Custody
(WGTD)---A 52-year-old Kenosha man died Saturday night after apparently being dragged for blocks underneath a car that had struck him. The driver--a 37-year-old woman from Waukegan--is in custody. According to a police department news release, the woman may have been under the influence of THC. She reportedly was driving without a license.

PALATINE, Ill. (CBS) -- Horse lovers protested Monday night in the northwest suburbs – as they sought to save the beloved Palatine stables.Kids and adults took part in the protest, and even brought along ponies, outside a Palatine Park District board meeting Monday night.The board voted 4-1 to close the stables out of concern for "structural integrity and public safety."The board said the 1950s-era stables are in need of more than $2 million in structural repairs, and will close by the end of the year.Supporters lined up to speak out against the decision - including families who use the stable's therapy services for their children."We are going to protect the horses, because the horses have always been good to us," one youngster said.The park district is currently looking for new homes for its 36 district-owned horses and ponies.

Man arrested near Gateway Arch for allegedly killing his brothers
A man wanted for the deaths of his two brothers in Illinois has been arrested near the Gateway Arch. St. Louis Metropolitan Police say they were alerted by the National Park Service that 54-year-old Jeffrey Austwick might be near the arch grounds. Officers used surveillance cameras to locate and arrest him on Friday.
