Winthrop man sentenced for DWI arrest after 100 mph chase through Morton
A Winthrop man, Damon Jon Muchow, age 33, was sentenced in Redwood County Court for leading police on a high speed chase through Redwood County last October. According to court documents, shortly after midnight on Oct. 15 a Lower Sioux Police officer noted a vehicle driving along County Road 2 at a high rate of speed. The driver responded by accelerating onto Highway 71, then east onto Highway 91, into a ditch and back onto the road, and through Morton at high speed. At times the vehicle exceeded 100 mph before finally stopping near mile marker 85.
