Ocala couple arrested after infant brought to hospital with fractured skull, more injuries
MARION COUNTY, Fla. — An Ocala couple is facing child abuse and neglect charges after an infant was brought to a local hospital with serious injuries. According to arrest affidavits from the Marion County Sheriff's Office, 24-year-old Jacob Bratt and 19-year-old Charli Homer were taken into custody last Friday – a month after the incident occurred.

Shooting in Belleview determined murder suicide
BELLEVIEW, Fla. (WCJB) - A shooting that took place in Belleview on Sunday, April 21st, has been determined a murder/suicide by Marion County Sheriff’s Office detectives. Responding to a death investigation, arriving officers found two victims on the floor with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The victims were later identified as Erica Brooks, 37, and James Marean, 64.
