DEXTER, Kan. (KAKE) - A tornado ripped apart a family barn Saturday just outside of Dexter in Cowley Co. KAKE News spoke with the owner of the barn, Jim Lindley, shortly after the twister passed through. He said he and his mother never expected to lose the barn this way.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Update: 4 p.m.: A tornado-producing storm is moving northeast and showing rotation with a tornado warning continuing for portions of eastern Cowley County as well as portions of Chautauqua and Elk counties. There hasn’t been another confirmed tornado following the one that was spotted near Dexter at about 3:30 p.m.
Evergy crews working to restore power after weekend storms
(KAKE) - Some Kansas residents are waking up to no electricity Sunday morning, as crews work to restore power following Saturday night's storms. As of 7:55 a.m. Sunday, Evergy reports that 542 customers within the vicinity of Howard are without power, as well as an additional 40 customers in Cowley and Elk Counties.
