First Alert Weather: Scattered thunderstorms return Sunday overnight into early Monday morning
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Apart from an isolated thundershower or two, First Alert AccuTrack shows a pretty quiet scene across Central Alabama tonight with a partly cloudy sky in place. We will hold on to a 10% chance for a stray shower or storm overnight with patchy fog possible. We will likely start off the day with some clouds but have more breaks of steamy sunshine in the afternoon. We had our first 90-degree day of the year here in Birmingham today, and we will likely hit the low 90s across Central Alabama again for Sunday afternoon with rain chances at 10% or less for much of the day. Even in spots where temperatures only hit the upper 80s, humidity will be high enough to make it feel like the 90s. If you’re hanging out by the pool or the lake for the holiday weekend, make sure you slather on the sunscreen and stay hydrated! Winds will turn a bit breezy out of the south-southwest at 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph possible.
