    OneGenAway mobile food pantry rolling into Lawrence County in June

    MOULTON, Ala. ( WHNT ) — A mobile food pantry hosted by One Generation Away (OneGenAway) will be offering fresh produce to people in Lawrence County in just a few weeks.

    The mobile food pantry will take place on Saturday, June 15 from 9-10:30 a.m. There is no registration required to attend. Organizers say that everyone is welcome, no questions asked!

    The food distribution event will be held at Lawrence County High School and will be on a first-come, first-served basis for the first 300 cars. One cart will be given to each car and fresh produce, dry goods and more will be passed out in a ‘drive-thru style.’

    If you want to volunteer, no registration is required. Volunteers report to the event at 7:30 a.m.

    OneGenAway is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2013. Chris and Elaine Whitney founded the organization, and it gathers high-quality surplus foods to be able to give them out to families and individuals who are experiencing food scarcity.
