Hartselle man accused of strangling wife over divorce argument
HARTSELLE, Ala. (WAFF) - A Hartselle man was arrested over the weekend, accused of trying to strangle his wife. According to the Decatur Daily, Carl Deleo III is accused of getting into an argument with his wife about divorce, and then strangling her as she tried to call 911 for help.
Former Decatur police chief Ed Taylor dies at 73
DECATUR, Ala. — It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of retired Decatur Police Chief Ed Taylor. Chief Taylor began his career with the Decatur Police Department in December 1974. Over the years, Taylor rose through the ranks and served in numerous capacities throughout his career including patrol, CID and the training division. He graduated from the 196th Session of the F.B.I Academy in 1996. In August 2007 he was one of two appointed to a Major position.
