BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Good morning and happy Thursday! If you recorded any rainfall yesterday, you have a chance to see some patchy fog this morning. The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Talladega, and St. Clair counties until 9 a.m. Visibility could be reduced to a quarter of a mile or less. Make sure you allow some extra time to get to your destination this morning and use your low beams. We are also seeing patchy fog in parts of Marion, Winston, Walker, and Cullman counties. Areas to the south will likely remain fog-free.

Curt’s Closet opens 2nd warehouse for growing programs
CULLMAN, Ala. – Curt’s Closet, established by Ashley Wilson in 2018 to honor the memory of her son Curt Wilson, has grown by leaps and bounds in six years. From a small, repurposed church building on St. Joseph Street, the youth clothing ministry relocated into a much larger new facility at 1101 Third Ave. SE in 2021, a move that Wilson called “definitely a God thing.” That site featured room for the well-known Curt’s Closet boutique, a sorting room, laundry room, office and boardroom and a free-standing warehouse to allow the storage of extra inventory onsite.

Barbara Jean Hunt Sandlin, age 88, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Barbara loved all animals. She Loved feeding birds and she loved Hummingbirds and gardening. Barbara is survived by her daughter Jean Lewis(Carl); her brothers Jessie Burgess, Bobby Burgess, Jerry Burgess(Angie), Donald Burgess(Elaine), Joe Burgess(Lynda) & David Burgess(Vicki) and her sisters Lillie Tucker, Brenda Duke(Charlie), Rita Aker(Larry) & Patsy Klein(Tim).
