Bridge Road in Suffolk will have speed reduction during road project
SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk Public Works has announced a speed reduction on Bridge Road in both East and West lanes approaching the Shoulders Hill Road intersection. The speed will be reduced from 45 mph to 35 mph within the designated Work Zone area. It’s scheduled to start on May 6 and remain in effect during the project.

New details in the Charlottesville abduction case emerged after the prosecutor gave a summary of evidence in court on Tuesday. WMRA's Randi B. Hagi reports. Blood-affiliated gang members convicted, sentenced after attempted murder plot in Franklin, says DOJ
FRANKLIN, Va. — A Franklin man was sentenced to 22 years and nine months in prison for conspiracy to commit murder and other crimes. According to the Department of Justice (DOJ), 31-year-old Malik Newsome, also known as "Red" or "Hitman Red," is the final defendant sentenced for his role in a "violent spree" committed by members of a Blood-affiliated criminal enterprise in and around Franklin.
