Anchor Bay middle school bus evacuated after crashing into ditch
More than 30 students on board an Anchor Bay school bus had an unusual start to their Friday. District Superintendent Phil Jankowski said in a letter to parents Middle School North bus #60 overturned into a culvert near the intersection of Base Street and Oxford Court in New Baltimore around 7:50 a.m. There were 31 students who were on the bus.

Attorneys, witnesses discuss psychosis symptoms in attempted murder trial
As the trial of a man accused of attempting to kill his wife continued Friday, the attorneys and witnesses zeroed in on the effects of one drug in particular: Prednisone. Typically used to treat inflammation, defense attorney Joshua Rubin called psychiatrist Dr. Gerald Shiener to testify on how Prednisone may have affected Gregory Ringel's perception of reality when he fired a shotgun at his wife in March 2022.

Freeze warning and frost advisory issued for Southeast Michigan
(CBS DETROIT) - We're expecting another chilly night before warmer air moves into Southeast Michigan. There is a freeze warning from 1 a.m. Friday through 8 a.m. Friday for Lapeer, Oakland, Livingston and Washtenaw counties, and a frost advisory for the same time period for Sanilac, St. Clair, Macomb, Wayne, Lenawee and Monroe counties.Expect temperatures to drop into the low to mid-30s overnight, so it will be a chilly start to Friday.We will see mostly sunny skies through lunchtime, then increasing clouds throughout the afternoon and evening on Friday, with temperatures right around average for the end of April.If you're heading downtown tomorrow (and you plan on staying out late), have some rain gear handy. Showers are expected to move in late Friday and stick around through the overnight hours, with some thunderstorms possible. High schools across four counties attend Blue Water Building Trades Fair
More than 1,000 students were present at Goodells County Park for the annual Blue Water Building Trades Fair Wednesday. This was the third year that Macomb/St. Clair County MiWorks has facilitated the fair, with students from across St. Clair, Macomb, Lapeer and Sanilac counties in attendance. MiWorks Youth Program Coordinator Cristine Robson said the purpose of the fair is to provide career exploration opportunities for students in rural areas.
