NAGS HEAD, N.C. — Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills on the Outer Banks are rolling out a new flag system to improve warnings of surf conditions for beachgoers. Under Nags Head Ocean Rescue's new system, yellow flags indicate a medium hazard with moderate surf and/or currents present. Weak swimmers are discouraged from getting into the water, while others should use extra care and caution.

BIOGRAPHY: Sanai Alexander is my name, and I attend Northeastern High School as a senior and The College of the Albemarle as a dual enrollment student. On my mother’s side, I am the youngest child, while on my father’s side, I am the middle child. I participated in track and field during my junior and senior years of high school and played basketball my entire four years. Since elementary school, I’ve played basketball, and lately, I’ve been improving my skills in preparation for the next levels. I enjoy playing sports, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.
