Unsettled, active end to the weekend
Unsettled weather will continue through the weekend with a chance of showers and high winds across the Inland Northwest on Sunday. Cloudy and breezy weather is expected to stick around overnight and throughout the next few days as a few active systems move across the region. Sunday’s daytime high will drop a few degrees in the Lilac City, most likely topping out around 57 degrees. Winds will remain strong with gusts as high as 25-35 mph.
Man arrested after failed attempt to break into business with stolen car
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Deputies arrested a man who slammed a stolen car into the wall of a business. According to the Spokane Valley Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Damien Ocacio tried to break into a business near North Farr Road and East Main Tuesday night. After failing to break in, Ocacio drove away. Deputies said that he later came back, only to fail again.

SPOKANE, Wash. -- The rain and weak thunderstorms from up north will be moving out Saturday evening. Cloudy skies will linger overnight, into Sunday. A slight chance of rain for the last day of our weekend but it's looking much more promising the rain will return on Monday. Sunday night into Monday we're forecasting snow in the Cascade pass and we're expecting 3" to 6" of snow. This means late season winter driving conditions for those who will be traveling in that direction. Mostly cloudy skies and cool temps for the remainder of our work week. Drug Take Back Day sees hundreds of unused drugs safely disposed of
SPOKANE, Wash. — Hundreds of unused drugs were taken off home shelves and disposed of throughout Spokane on Saturday, for Drug Take Back Day. A collaboration of several groups, including Spokane Police and community-based partners, hosted the events throughout Spokane. The events give people a place to dispose of unused medication safely, so it doesn't fall into the wrong hands.
